Why we started this

The AI tools market moves fast enough that most review content can't keep up honestly. Lists get written from press releases, scores get inflated by affiliate commissions, and "best of" articles rank tools that were never actually opened. We built ToolVerge to be the opposite of that.

How we score

Every tool that gets a verdict goes through the same three checks, published in full on its review page:

• Real-task test — we run the tool against the exact use case in its own marketing, not a curated demo scenario.
• True-cost audit — we check what a real user actually pays once they hit normal usage limits, not the teaser price on the landing page.
• Daily-use test — the final score reflects whether the tool earned a place in our own workflow, not just a feature checklist.

What "no sponsored scores" means

We may earn a commission if you sign up for a tool through a link on this site. That commission has never changed a score — we've published SKIP verdicts on tools that offered us affiliate deals, and we'll keep doing that. The test log for every review is public, so you can see exactly how a score was reached.
